Internet Desk: There are many funny jokes on social media after India skipper Virat Kohli got married with Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma and on the other hand stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma capitalized most of the opportunity in Kohli’s absence. This is also true that the Indian cricket team captain has fall down in the current rankings which have come out today.

The Indian cricket team completed a 3-0 whitewash in the T20I series which helped them to reach the world No.2 spot and by doing so they have outran England, New Zealand and West Indies in the rankings. Their arch-rivals Pakistan is at the top.

“India have moved up from their pre-series tally of 119 points to 121 points. They have leapfrogged England, New Zealand and the Windies to move from fifth to second position in a list led by Pakistan with 124 points,” ICC said in a release on Monday.

Kohli missed the ODI and T20I series against the Icelanders due to his high voltage marriage with Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma. As he was not in play it affected his rankings as his ranking has dropped to third spot in ICC T20I rankings.

The India skipper has also lost rating points as he has fall from 824 points to 776 points, as per ICC’s new rankings.

“As players lose two per cent of their rating points for each T20I missed, Kohli, has slipped from 824 points to 776 points,” the ICC explained.
