XtraTime Web Desk: Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne feels that Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are the two best batsman across all formats in this generation. Beside that he further added that the current Indian captain has achieved so much in his career till now what even legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t!

Warne gave some valid stats as well in this context. The current Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has hit 19 centuries while chasing a total successfully in ODIs where as Tendulkar has hit 17 while chasing a total successfully in his whole cricketing career. Tendulkar has 51 centuries in his name in ODIs and Kohli is second to him with 35 centuries as off now.

“I think the way Virat plays and you look at his numbers and it’s uncanny how many times he has got hundreds in ODI cricket chasing totals down. I don’t think anyone, not even Sachin could do what Virat’s done,” Warne was quoted as saying by India Today on Monday.

As per Warne; Tendulkar and Brian Lara were the two best batsmen during his period and in the current generation Kohli and De Villiers are the two best batsmen across all formats, but it’s difficult for him to pick the best between the two.”We know Sachin and Brian Lara were the two best players of all time in our generation. But Virat and AB de Villiers; it’s very difficult to separate those guys. Virat is as good as anyone that I have seen play the game. Wonderful, terrific player, I love his energy and passion. I am sure when he finishes in ten years or so he will be spoken about in the same breath as Sachin,” he said.

The current mentor of Rajasthan Royals feels that Kohli will score a lot of runs in the forthcoming India’s tour of England which will begin from July. So far Virat’s record in England is really very poor. In his last tour he scored just 134 runs with an average of 13.40 and India lost the four-match Test series 1-3 ass well.

As per Warne; Virat will play some memorable knocks in the down under.” [England is] perhaps the only place which Virat hasn’t yet nailed. And I think he will nail England this year. I think Virat will have an unbelievable series in England which will hold him in good stead in Australia also. He played beautifully in Australia in the last tour. His knock at Adelaide was nearly match winning. Jeez! He played well. I love to see Virat Kohli play,” he was quoted as saying.
