Internet Desk : Milestones galore for Virat Kohli at the MCG on Sunday after he registered his 24th century in the third one-day international against Australia  . Kohli, finally reached the three figure mark after failing in the last two innings when he scored 91 and 59 in Perth and Brisbane. It was his first hundred against Australia in Australia.

Kohli brought up his century by nudging Kane Richardson to the leg side to give the 50,000-plus crowd at the MCG plenty to cheer.

He also became the quickest batsman to reach 7000 runs in one day internationals . Kohli achieved the feat during the third ODI against Australia at Melbourne on Sunday.

Kohli brought up the milestone by glancing James Faulkner to fine leg for a boundary in the 10 th over .

He took169 matches to reach the landmark , breaking the previous record set by South Africa’s AB de Villiers who achieved it in his 172nd match.

Kohli sits on top of an illustrious list of  bastman like Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting and Rahul Dravid.
