Internet Desk: Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly was present in Cardiff to watch the all important UEFA Champions league final on June 4.

Sourav, who is a lifelong Manchester United fan as well as a Lionel Messia fan, is also a Cristiano Ronaldo admirer. He had previously witnessed the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the 2015/16 season.

The Prince of Kolkata is currently in England for commentary purposes in the ongoing ICC Champions trophy 2017.

The left-handed batsman was at Birmingham and from there he went to Cardiff with his wife Dona Ganguly and daughter Sana Ganguly to see the finals of the competition which decides the best team of Europe.

The Champions of Spain, Real Madrid defeated the champions of Italy, Juventus 4-1 with a superb brace from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar reached yet another milestone when he reached 600 career goals.

A highly entertaining first half from both sides saw Madrid take the early lead when Ronaldo struck at the 20th minute mark. Mario Mandzukic equalized nine minutes later with a superb overhead kick.

However the story of the second half was completely different as Juventus succumbed to the constant onslaught of Madrid. Casemiro revived the lead for the Spanish team when his long ranger was deflected and Buffon had nothing to do for it. Three minutes later Ronaldo scored after a brilliant pass from Luka Modric.

Any hopes of Juventus coming back into the match was dismissed when Juan Cuardado was shown marching orders after a clash with Sergio Ramos.

The final nail of the coffin for Juventus was put by Marco Asensio who scored in the last minute of the game.
