Riding on a sublime innings from Kohli India defeated Australia by six wickets to go through to the semis of ICC World T20 at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Sunday. The dashing batsman scored an excellent 82 runs off 51 balls. Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages for Kohli . Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one of the first to congratulate Virat. He tweeted," What a match! Proud of our team. Great innings @imVkohli & exemplary leadership @msdhoni".  Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar hailed Virat terming his innings as a "special one". "Woooow @imVkohli…special it was…Great win,fighting all the way! #IndvsAus," Indian off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took the micro-blogging site to applaud Kohli. "Sandstorm from Sachin at Sharjah,and the hailstorm in Mohali from @imVkohli should be written in the same paragraph. #chasemaster Another Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted,"JEO KOHLI JEO MERA SHER. Kohli's team mate Yuvraj and Shikhar Dhawan too praised him. Yuvraj tweeted,"Well what can i say! There are players who r in form and there is @imVkohli who wins you games again and again! Hats of you beauty".ß "Hats off to Virat's great knock!! Lots of learning from him!!??????" Dhawan tweeted. Australian Glenn Maxwel also tweeted lauding Virat's awesome innings. "Well… That innings was a different level…Not a lot more to say really…absolutely shattered. Beaten by 1 cricketing genius, #toogood." Maxwell tweeted. Ex Australian captain Michael Clarke tweeted," Congrats to India on a very good win, bad luck to the Aussie boys. Looked like a class performance from @imVkohli #T20WorldCup." Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya hailed Virat Kohli as the World's best batsman. He tweeted ," Whe I picked Virat as a U-19 player @imVkohli for RCB @RCBTweets I didn't realize I was picking the best batsman in the World. Congrats."   England and Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane did not miss to congratulate India's batting sensation. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane tweeted immediately after the sensational win and praised the Delhi-born 27-year-old batsman for his outstanding innings. Virat too responded with a retweet thanking him for his wishes while also talking about his goal against Germany in England’s 3-2 win over Germany.
