“I am really looking forward to this challenge in India and joining the Dynamos. I believe we have a good squad for this season and I am really happy to be a part of it. I believe in Coach Gombau’s philosophy and just can’t wait to start my training with the squad,” said Delgado after signing up for the Dynamos.

Delhi bolstered its defence this season by signing former Barcelona B defender Diawandou Diagne, I-League emerging player of the season 2018-19, Gaurav Bora and now Delgado becomes the third signing of the season at the back.

Head coach Josep Gombau is delighted to have the defender at his disposal as he said, “It’s a pleasure to have Carlos with us. He is player with a lot of experience in the Spanish league, having played a lot of games in the Segunda division. He is a very strong left central defender with a very good control over the ball.”

The coach also believes that Delgado’s playing style compliments his philosophy and he is someone who will not only help the team in defensive situations but also contribute in the building up of the game.

Club Director Rohan Sharma too extended his welcoming to the player as he said, “We are pleased to welcome Delgado to the club, he is a tenacious defender with a lot of experience. He will be a good mentor to Gaurav and is a welcome addition to our backline.”
