XtraTime Web Desk: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises surprised cricket fans in the IPL auction 2018 as they managed to add some valuable players at lower price in their squad. Ben Stokes going to Rajasthan Royals for 12.5 crores and then Rajasthan also bought the most expensive Indian player in the auctions, Jaydev Unadkat for 11.5 crores.

Here are the five names who went underpriced in the IPL auction.

Yuvraj Singh:

Yuvi always known for his hard hitting capability went for just 2 Crores to Kings XI Punjab. Yuvi was a member of two World Cup winning team including inaugural T20 World Cup. He hit six sixes in the semi final match against England. This all rounder scored 2587 runs in 120 matches and got 12 half centuries. He can be very handy with ball as he picked 36 wickets in 71 matches.

 Chris Gayle:

He is arguably the most destructive batsman went unsold in the first day of Auction and it was hard to believe. Gayle scored 5 centuries in the IPL just got 2 Crores to Kings XI Punjab.

Colin Munro:

Centuries in T20 cricket are very rare and this Kiwi opener scored 3 T20I tons went to Delhi Daredevils. He went for just 1.9 Crores.

Faf Du Plessis:

This Proteas captain got average of 30 and his strike rate is 127 in IPL but, just went 1.6 Crores to Chennai Super Kings.

Mitchel Johnson:

Who can forget the final over of the IPL final last season where this Aussies speedster bowled brilliantly to restrict Rising Pune Supergiants from winning the title? But, he went to KKR for just 2 crores in the second day of the auction. He picked 59 wickets in 48 matches and can be very handy with bat at lower down the order.
