Internet Desk: Three Dubai-based Indian passport holders will be joining the Indian U-17 squad currently training in Germany for next year’s World Cup to be held in India.

Right-footed striker Augustus Nixon, holding midfielder Arjun Sunil and left-back Neelkantan Anand have been handpicked out of the initial list of 200 probables from the overseas scouting programme attended by Chief Operating Officer for the World Cup team Abhishek Yadav, and will be joining the 21-member contingent who recently beat TSG Hoffenheim U-16 2-1 in a practice match.

The boys will be given two weeks’ time to acclimatise and impress head coach Nicolai Adam. India play the AFC U-16 Championships in September. Yadav revealed that they have plans to continue with this overseas scouting programme till December this year with the next stop being Qatar.
