Three chosen talents going for trial in Spain from Kolkata

Kolkata: Football Next Foundation and Rajdanga Club Samanwyay proudly announced three names-Abdul Ezaj, Surojit Roy and Brandon Murray who are the final selected candidates for Road to Spain to subsequently take part in La Liga Club Trials.

The gala announcement was witnessed by eminent footballers like  Surojit Sengupta, Shyamal Banerjee, Amio Ghosh, Shyamal Ghosh, Coaches, Anit Ghosh, Nasim Akhtar, Chief Coach Gerasimos Anastasiou from Germany, KMC Mayor In Council Debashish Kumar, and MP Subrata Bakshi.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Bakshi said “Rajdanga Club has come up with such unique concept to select candiadates from Bengal to play in Spain which will make the country proud of our state.We expect more clubs to bring more of these facilities for budding football aspirants in future. The numbers must increase with every year. “.

“Football Next Foundation and Rajdanga Club Samanway  deserves all the credit to bring such innovative opportunities for the boys from all parts of the society who have been dreaming football since childhood. The journey has just started and must continue to get more succesfful with every step.”, said Football legend Surojit Sengupta who has been a support throughout the Road to Spain jourmey.

Chief Coach Gerasimos Anastasiou too was overwhelmed with the performance of the boys.”I have seen tremendous potentiality in them and hope they will continue to perform better when they face the trials at Spain. “, said Mr. Anastasiou who along with other coaches Anit Ghosh and Nasim Akhtar put tremendous effort to train the boys for consecutive three days.

Ruben Hidalgo from Entry Professional Soccer , Spain congratulated the candidates for their acheivement.

Football Next Foundation earlier initiated a football training camp in Kashmir in collaboration with the Central Reserve Police Force. It enabled a shortlisted few to experience professional football within the Spanish provinces. Youngsters Basit Ahmed and Mohd. Asrar Rehba are the first two players from India to play in famous La Liga, playing for Lenese Proinastur. The achievement brought glory and acclaim from every quarters across the country.

“We always wanted to encourage footballers from Bengal to represent ther state at various European clubs. The story of Kashmir boys helped take the matter ahead along with Football Next Foundation”, said Swarup Ghosh,  Rajdanga Club Samanway.

Road to Spain venture, jointly organized by Footballnext foundation and Rajdanga Cub Samanway is partnered by Entry Professional Soccer, Indian Football School and is supported by Acropolis Mall.
