Kolkata: India’s No.1 wicket keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha acquired by Sun Risers Hyderabad for 5 Crore which is the best price for him in last ten years of Indian Premier League. Saha got injured while playing for India against South Africa in the first test.

“It was great to see the auction for the first time on TV. IPL always is a great platform as I played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab earlier but, Kings XI was probably the best as I got a chance to bat up the order.” He said to xtratime.in about the auction.

He had no doubt to get a team in the IPL as he said,” I don’t think much about those but playing in a team which has V.V.S Laxman and Muttiah Muralitharan as mentor is special to me. I worked earlier with V.V.S and learnt a lot from him. It will be a great opportunity to talk with Muralitharan.”

He will enjoy playing with Rashid Khan as he performed well in the Big Bash and for Afganisthan consistently said Saha. Talking about his team he said, “The auction yet to get over but it’s a very balanced side till now as we got Sikhar Dhawan, David Warner Kane Williamson in the team but, we have to perform well.”

“I never thought about how much I will get. I just want to play the matches and be fit.” Later he added.
