The latest world ranking takes Indian Badminton to a new high

Internet Desk: The Annual BWF World Championships will start in less than two weeks time and the Indian shuttlers have some strong reasons to bring honour for the country.

India’s badminton players have been doing really well in the recent times and as a result they have got really good seedings in the tournament.

Rio Olympics silver medal winner PV Sindhu is the only Indian who had won two bronze medals in this grand tournament. She has been given the fourth seed for the women’s singles category. Another star shuttler Saina Nehwal is the twelfth seed.

On the other hand in the men’s singles division, Kidambi Srikanth, Ajay Jayaram and B Sai Praneeth are in top 15 seeds. The form of Indian players have given hope that they would bring some medals this time.

There are 12 Indian players in the top 100 of the Men’s Singles list in the recently released BWF rankings. This was pointed out by Twitter user India@Sports in a picture posted by the account.

The BWF World Championships will start on 21st August, 2017 and will take place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.
