Kolkata: Brazilian legend Rivaldo arrived at the City of Joy today to meet the footballers of the Delhi Dynamos. It was the ISL franchise who brought him to India for the Subrata Cup Final at New Delhi, happened yesterday where his native club Atletico Paranaense became champions.

In a short trip to Kolkata, Rivaldo will meet the Delhi Dynamos players at a hotel near Salt Lake and will go back to Brazil by today only. The Delhi Dynamos team will fly to Delhi at night as they played Atletico de Kolkata yesterday. The franchise brought him to Kolkata because of the football craze in the city as well as to introduce him with the players. After landing at the airport, Rivaldo had his breakfast and then came out to face the awaited media. He said,”I am overwhelmed by the hospitality here in India and will be back soon in future. Thank you for everything”, the mood of the Brazilian legend was depicting how happy he has been to visit the country. He gave different poses to the photographers in a happy-go-lucky mood as well.

The FIFA World Cup winner who came wearing a Dynamos T-shirt, thanked Delhi Dynamos President Prashant Agarwal for giving him the opportunity to visit India, as he said,”A special thanks to Prashant for bringing me here. Thank you so much.”

Rivaldo believes the distance between the two countries can get closer with football. The former Brazilian forward said,”I hope the geographical distance between the two countries will get closer with the footballing exchange between the two countries.”
