Bello Rassaq: Another special moment, another special opportunity. Though I’m no longer a part of Mohun Bagan team right now, but how can I forget the memories which I had in the 2014-15 season when we won the first I-League title. I was fortunate to play a decisive role in the title deciding game at Bengaluru. But trust me, the memories are still fresh, as it seems it happened just yesterday. It was just a normal goal which I scored, but the love and reception which I got after that, will never be forgotten. I can still recall what happened at the Airport, I can still recall what love and affection we received to reach the club tent from the airport. Those moments are such which money can’t buy. In a word, “priceless”.

The match against Aizawl are now minutes away. I can feel what excitement is there among the players right now. I’m sure they will try till the last sweat to clinch the glory once more. It’s the moment when all the hard work, determination and dedication come into play. Players like Sony Norde, Jeje, Katsumi have the experience of winning it before and I’m sure that experience will come handy today. I want to give a lot of credit to the officials for their contribution. A huge credit should go to Sanjoy Sir, the coach. He is simply the friend, philosopher and guide for all the players. He gives a lot of encouragement to the youngsters to excel in the big stage. I want to congratulate and wish them all the luck today. I’m in Kerala now, playing for a new club named Gokulam, but my heart and eyes will be at Aizawl today for my friends with whom I won the first I-League title for Mohun Bagan.

My Facebook friends are asking me to compare the title we won in 2015 and the title which I believe will come this season. Honestly speaking, the first one will always remain special. Mohun Bagan have won Fed Cup last year and the I-League the season before, but what we won, was after a long wait of thirteen years. And I believe that paved the start of this remarkable journey in the last couple of seasons. Again, I would like to say that all my prayers, my love, my wish will be in one direction today. Come on Mohun Bagan! it’s time to repeat the history.
