Debasis Sen, London: Just as the South African cricketers were about to finish their optional practice session, a familiar looking youngster walked in at the Marylebone Cricket Club’s indoor academy on Friday. Arjun, son of Sachin Tendulkar has been a regular during the summer here, training with the junior cricketers of Middlesex county.

The six foot tall Arjun spent some time at the cricket shop inside the academy, before turning out for the training session. Young Tendulkar did not look to be pleased at all as the photographers started clicking his photographs. He quietly walked past the media into the nets, spoke to his coach and then started batting against spinners.
Tendulkar junior has had the opportunity to train with the Indian team here at the same venue few years back. Arjun was seen taking some lessons from the junior coach of the Middlesex county team. The left hander was keen to master the pull shot like his illustrious father.

In fact the Tendulkar family is here in London. Master blaster was present at the Edgbaston cricket ground for India’s clash against Pakistan. He was also seen at the charity dinner of Virat Kohli Foundation. Sachin also took time off to attend the concert of famous musician Phil Collins at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Tendulkar visits London for around a month-and-a-half every summer to spend some quality time with his family as he has a home in St John’s Wood which is a stone throw away distance from the Home of Cricket.
