Suphal Sarkar hat-trick sinks Mohun Bagan in Youth I League derby .

East-Bengal-U15-teamKOLKATA : East Bengal reigned supreme in youth I League derby on Friday . The Red and Gold players thrashed arch rivals Mohun Bagan by  a margin of 3-0 to remain unbeaten in the league . East Bengal rode on a hat-trick by striker  Suphal Sarkar  .

The match started on an even terms with both teams playing possessive football .  But in the second half  it was all East Bengal as Mohun Bagan struggled to get the ball near the opponent half . East Bengal captain Kaushik Santra  was in tremendous form . The  match was delayed  by 15 minutes  as  police arrived late for the match. East Bengal’s sensation Do Dong Hyun and Ranty Martins was  present at the club ground  to cheer for the upcoming footballers. East Bengal took the lead in 55 minutes through Suphal Sarkar who headed the ball home from a cross by Joy Bhattacharjee . It was Suphal again who stretched the lead for his side as he scored from a Rabilal Mandi pass . Suphal completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute to seal the match for Red and Gold .

There was a small incident in between the match as a cricket ball hit by an Aryan cricketer who  was seen practising beside the ground nearly injured a footballe .Eminent footballers Chandan Das and Ranjan Chowdhury were also present at the East Bengal ground .

Suphal who dreams of playing one day for the senior team was quite ecstatic to have scored a hat-trick against the arch rivals .  Suphal Sarkar who hails from Fulia was first noticed by East Bengal assistant coach  Debjit Ghosh. It was he who brought him  to the club . Suphal who loves to watch Messi and Do Dong Hyun dream to be a star footballer like them .
