Sri Lankan Gunathilaka punished by SLC

XtraTime Web Desk: Sri Lanka opener Danushka Gunathilaka has been suspended with immediate effect for six international matches for breaching the ‘Player Code of Conduct and Contractual Obligation’, Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Friday, July 27th. 

Three match suspension has been given to him for violating the contract that he has entered to with SLC. And the remaining three-match suspensions were given to him for the one-year sentence which he was already serving since October 18, 2017 for breaching the ‘Player Contract’.
He will also not be paid for the second Test against South Africa, during the course of which he was in breach of the contract. And no bonus or payments with regards to the game will be given to him.
