Internet Desk: Legendary footballer Mohammed Habib is not keeping well these days. The former Arjuna Award winning footballer recently injured his left leg at his residence in Hyderabad.
According to Raees Habib (Mohammed Habib’s wife), “He is not in a position to talk at the moment. He was going for namaz couple of days back, but injured his left leg. He is completely bed ridden now.”
Habib, who won many laurels for all the three Kolkata giants is not keeping well for quite some time now both physically and financially.
The matter was brought to the notice of the Sports Minister, who did not hesitate a moment to release rupees five lakhs for the immediate medical assistance of the legendary footballer.
In a tweet, the Sports Minister wrote, “We at IndiaSports stand by our athletes in their times of need. To this end, we have sanctioned 5lakh for immediate medical assistance for Mohammed Habeeb, our erstwhile football legend.”
