Kolkata: Mohun Bagan fans and team management must be happy as well as relieved, as their superstar Haitian Sony Norde himself spoke to the media to detail about his injury status and showed his determination to contribute to his team’s forthcoming games despite the injury concerns. Sony Norde has been an instrumental part of the Green and Maroon brigade and Sanjoy Sen’s team needs consistent performances from the Haitian in this season as well to do something special in this season.

The highly skillful winger missed Mohun Bagan’s first leg of the AFC Cup 2017 Qualifiers against Club Valencia of Maldives on last Tuesday. Sony was highly impressed by the performances of his teammates as he said, “A few important players missed the match in Maldives but our players played really well over there and we have a great chance to win the next game and qualify.”

The Haitian attacker confessed the injury worries he has been going through, but said, “Felling better now. That day I took complete rest, yesterday I had a gym session and today, I’m getting much better now. The pain is there but is less compare to what it was. I spoke to the coach today as I want to play the next game.”

Two foreigners Darryl Duffy and Eduardo Ferreira skipped the training today to take a bit more rest. On the other hand, Club Valencia will arrive at Kolkata to play the second leg tonight.
