Kolkata: East Bengal midfielder Mehtab Hossain promised his support on yesterday, Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Shilton Paul extended his hands of support today to strengthen the fight for Arushi and leading the Team Mohun Bagan on a different battlefield to raise fund to save the little girl who is fighting for her life. Mohun Bagan, in the leadership of Shilton has decided to hand over a good amount of money to ensure the treatment process tomorrow after their I-League game at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium. Shilton told www.xtratime.in , “The entire Maidan should come forward. I spoke to all the players of my team and have decided to collect a good amount of money tomorrow and will hand it over to Arushi’s father after the game.” He added, “I have decided to call his father in the dressing room after the game and will give the money in front of the presence of everyone.”

Mohun Bagan fan Sanjoy Kumar Das’s 3 years’ old daughter Arushi Das has been suffering from a critical ailment, as she has both her kidneys damaged and needs at least Rs.10 lac immediately to start the next treatment. Shilton went to Arushi’s place today to see her and became extremely emotional. He was saying, “It was really hard for me to be there for too long. I was feeling the pain as well. I hope she will be cured soon.” Shilton himself has given a good amount of cash money today and promised for any kind of help in future to her parents.

Arushi is frequently having her treatment at a nursing home these days and it will be her father who will be contributing one of his kidneys to save his daughter. He was saying, “The way Shilton has come forward, I felt overwhelmed. I wish the blessing of all the well-wishers will help her to get completely cured. Please pray for her.”

In the past, the Kolkata Maidan has shown instances of fighting unitedly for a special cause. Arushi’s incident has been reflecting the same spirit once again.
