Miraz shares his experience of interacting with Kohli and Ashwin

Image Source: XtraTime[/caption] Internet Desk: Bangladesh cricketers Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahaman will miss the initial stages of IPL 2017 which begin from April 05 at Hyderabad. Shakib and Mustafizur will be travelling with the Bangladesh team to play a series in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh will be playing 2 tests, 3 ODI’s and 2 T20I’s. The Bangladesh team will leave Colombo on February 27 and return on April 08. Both Shakib and Mustafizur were retained by their respective IPL franchises Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabd. Mustafizur, who missed the one-off test between India and Bangladesh in Hyderabad due to injury, will make a return to test cricket against the Lankans. The lanky pacer played a crucial part in helping Sunrisers lifting the trophy last season. The Bangladesh cricketers left for Dhaka via Kolkata from Hyderabad after playing their first test match on Indian soil. Although the Tigers lost comprehensively by 208 runs to the No. 1 test team in the world, they gave a good account of them with captain Mushfiqur Rahim leading the way with a brilliant hundred in the first innings. All rounder Shakib al Hasan also played a stellar knock of 82 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh teenage spin sensation Mehedi Hasan Miraz was impressive both with the bat and ball. On being asked about his experience on playing against the star studded Indian batsmen, young Miraz said, “It was a huge learning experience for me to have played against one of the best batsman like Virat Kohli. My confidence will increase after this test match.” Mehedi, who met Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Virat Kohli after the match in the Indian dressing room, shared his experiences to xtratime.in. According to Mehedi, “He (Kohli) inspired us to do well in future. He appreciated my performance in the test match and motivated to do perform well ahead. He also said that I can make a name for myself he had if I play well and do the hard work. Ashwin gave me some tips about bowling and suggested how to handle the situations in the match.” Talking about the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka, Mehedi said, “My aim will be bowl consistently well in all the matches. I hope to do well in Sri Lanka too.” Meanwhile a total of 351 players, which includes 122 capped internationals, will feature in the IPL auction, scheduled to be held in Bangalore on February 20. Fast bowler Ishant Sharma is one of the seven players with a maximum base price of INR 2 crore - approximately US $298,000 - for the tenth player auction. The other six include three England players - allrounder Ben Stokes, ODI and T20I captain Eoin Morgan and allrounder Chris Woakes - two Australian fast men Mitchell Johnson and Pat Cummins, and Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews.
