Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis makes winning start at WTA Finals in Singapore

Image Source: Twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis cruised to the semi-finals of WTA Finals in Singapore on Friday. The Indo-Swiss pair got past the challenges of Chinese Taipei pair of Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan in straight sets 7-6(12/10),7-5. Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis re-united in this tournament after splitting ways in August. The pair is defending their WTA Finals title in Singapore. Sania and Hingis became the world’s No.1 doubles team, as they won 41 matches on trot. The pair famously known as Santina, clinched three grand slams and 11 WTA titles in that period since teaming up in 2015 at Indian Wells. The Indo-Swiss pair is the second seeds atv WTA finals after the French pair of Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic. Santina will next face the winner of the match between fourth seeds Ekaterina Makarova-Elena Vesnina & Czech team of Hlavackova-Lucie Hradecka.
