Internet Desk :Sakshi Malik guaranteed her country a silver medal after she reached the finals of Asian Wrestling Championship on Friday.

The Rio Olympic bronze medallist defeated Kazakhstan’s Ayaulym Kassymova to reach the finals of the 60kg category.

The 24 year old wrestler who hails from Haryana will face Risako Kawai of Japan, who was the Olympic gold medallist.

Sakshi created history last year when she became the first to win a medal at the Rio Olympics. Apart from that she also won other silverwares like a silver medal at 2014 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at Asian Wrestling Championships in 2015.
