Internet Desk: WADA has banned Andre Russell for one year, that’s Why he is not been able to play in IPL for Knights Riders. However, KKR stood by Russell in his hard times. All players will be auctioned in the next edition of the IPL. It’s not clear about the retention of players for next season, but KKR is trying to hold Russell.

Venki Mysore, CEO of KKR, said, Russell is the victim of administrative faults. Russell was suspended this year by WADA. The co-owner of the night added, ”There has been some problem. But we know, Russell is not guilty at all. This year he is not being released. Through the retention policy we will be holding him for the next year also”.

Russel has a huge contribution behind KKR’s success. In the last two seasons, he scored more than 500 runs at a strike rate of more than 160 and also he came handy with his bowling taking 29 wickets in his last two seasons. There is no doubt in that why KKR would like to retain him for the next season.
