On Tuesday for the third and deciding ODI against West Indies, it was once again evident at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. Virat was seen sharing a light banter with the young guns in the team like Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal at the start of the match. He was in the dug-out for part of the match, cheering every boundary and a fall of a wicket.

Rohit on the other hand was seen carrying drinks during the break. The Indian captain was seen going around the boundary during the second ODI at Kensington Oval and cheering players like Kuldeep Yadav. Rohit too was seen in the dug-out along with Head Coach Rahul Dravid. Every word spoken by both Rohit and Virat in this current Indian team act as an inspiration for the youngsters. They look up to them as the biggest motivators.

For instance, Mukesh Kumar, who made his debut in both tests and ODIs on this tour finds it to be a huge motivating factor when Virat speaks to him in the dressing room or in the ground. For many youngsters in the current team, they grew up watching Virat and Rohit.

Virat and Rohit will leave back for India as they are not part of T20I squad. They will take a break before joining the squad for Asia Cup 2023. Both the senior players played only one ODI against West Indies, as head coach Rahul Dravid wanted to experiment.
