Xtra Time Web Desk: All eyes will be on Rohit Sharma as he leads Mumbai Indians in Saturday’s IPL 2023 game against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede stadium. It will be the first match for the five-time champions at home.

The focus definitely will be on Mumbai Indians skipper, who has not exactly set the IPL stage on fire for a last few seasons. Ahead of the game against Chennai, the MI captain had a long chat with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the mentor of the side. The two were seen discussing during the Mumbai Indians practice session at Wankhede. The franchise shared a video on its social media handle Twitter as how Rohit spends his day when there is no match. Watch the video below:

Rohit has had his share of blazing starts but a big knock has eluded him for quite some time now. Strange it may sound but the Hitman has not scored a 50 in consecutive 22 innings in IPL. MI would seek inspiration from their captain soon if they need to taste success in upcoming games.

The star Indian batter has played 228 IPL matches so far, nothing up 5880 runs at an average of 30.15 making him the fourth highest run scorers in the cash rich league.

Rohit will like to get his act together both as a batter as well as skipper, when his star-studded Mumbai Indians take on an astute Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings in what is billed as the El Classico of IPL.

Rohit, we all know is the most successful captain in IPL history and he has five championship trophies with Mumbai Indians to back this claim. He is currently leading the franchise for the 10th year in a row and his side is still looking for its first win of the season.

Rohit has led Mumbai Indians to 27 wins out of the 43 games in IPL at the Wankhede stadium. Can he inspire the Paltans for their first win this season against their fiercest rivals, fans will have to wait for a few hours to get the answer.
