Rio 2016: Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy won over Japanese pair

Internet Desk: Indian pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy defeated Japanese pair of Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa in their last group match. Now they have to play the elimination round match to reach the quarterfinal.

The doubles shuttlers lost their previous two matches previously. However, their win in the last group match raised a little hope to enter the quarter finals.

Yesterday they defeated the Japanese pair in straight sets by 2-0. In the first set Japanese gave them a tuff fight. The Indian pair conceived some unforced errors. Thus the set ended with 23-21.

The second set was much easier for Indian pair. They won it by 21-11. Opponent of Attri and Reddy is yet to be decided.
