The 3rd round of this year's Champions League started on Tuesday and had pretty big games in store. Real Madrid were scheduled to play Inter Milan while Liverpool faced last season's dark horse Atalanta. Manchester City were scheduled against Olympiacos Piraeus and Bayern Munich against FC Red Bull Salzburg.

After managing to get just 1 point in the first couple of matches, it was a Do-or-Die match for Real Madrid. Things were pretty intense right from the beginning but the 13-time European Champions managed to score 2 goals within 33 minutes of the game. Karim Benzema scored in the 27th minute and their captain Sergio Ramos scored in the 33rd minute. With this goal, Sergio Ramos has now scored 100 goals for his club.

Inter Milan didn't just sit back. They retaliated. Lautaro Martinez scored in the 35th minute and gave Inter Milan a hope for a comeback. So did they. Ivan Perisic scored in 68th minute and tied the score at 2-2. However, the young Rodrygo scored in the 80th minute and confirmed 3 very crucial points for Real Madrid.

Liverpool on the other hand won very comfortably against last year's dark horse Atalanta. Their new signing Diogo Jota has been magnificent throughout the season and last night Klopp showed why he paid so much for Jota. Diogo Jota scored a hat-trick last night while Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane scored one each. Liverpool are now comfortably leading their respective group.

Another team from Premier League had an easy outing last night. Manchester City faced the Greek side, Olympiacos Piraeus. To replace Leroy Sane, Manchester City bought Ferran Torres just this summer and he has been fantastic for them so far. Even in the last night, he didn't disappoint. He scored in the 12th minute mark and gave Manchester City the lead right at the beginning. Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo scored in the 81st and 91st minute respectively and Manchester City won comfortably by 3 goals to nil.

It was an interesting night for FC Bayern Munich. They were one nil down right from the beginning when Berisha of Red Bull Salzburg scored against them. The mighty Bayern didn't sit back. Robert Lewandowski scored in the 21st minute and just before half-time, they went ahead with an own goal from Kristensen.

Okugawa scored in the 66th minute to tie the score at 2-2 but since then Bayern Munich went rampant against Salzburg. They scored 4 since then. Jerome Boateng scored in the 79th minute, Leroy Sane in the 83rd minute, Robert Lewandowski in the 88th while Lucas Hernandez on 93rd. With this galore of goals, Bayern Munich beat Salzburg by 6-2.
