A total of 28 teams will be playing in this season and from these 4 groups only top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the quarter finals. The first league game is scheduled to start from October 6.

While speaking to www.xtratime.in, Bengal’s Coach Sairaj Bahutule shared his thoughts.

“Every team in the Ranji Trophy is strong teams nowadays. I think no team is to be underestimated as last season we saw Chhattisgarh perform really well and so does Goa or Vidarbha. We see a lot of experienced players perform well when given an opportunity” Sairaj said.

“It is a good opportunity for all of us. Last two seasons back we were placed in the toughest group which was also beneficial for us. If you aim to win the Ranji Trophy then you need to defeat the toughest of the teams. When we qualify from the group stage we will automatically face strong teams in the quarters. As of now the KSCA has just ended and we will start the training when the CAB decides” he added.
