Internet Desk: 24-year old Vidarbha medium pacer Rajneesh Gurbani is the star of the Ranji Trophy final as his hat-trick helped his side to restrict Delhi on just 295 in the first innings.The hero of the semis showed his class again today after he took back to back wickets of Vikas Sharma & Navdeep Saini on the last couple of deliveries of his 23rd over and took the wicket of Delhi’s centurion Dhruv Soray on the very first delivery of his 24th over to complete the hat-trick.

Gurbani has written his name in the history books as he has becomes the only second bowler to take a hat-trick in the Ranji Trophy. The first hat-trick was taken by B Kalyanasundaram of Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy 1972/73 season in a match against Mumbai. The young pacer ended his spell at 6 for 59.

He was also the star of the match in the semis against hot favourite Karnataka after he took 12 wickets to hand his side a win.
