Kolkata: East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan has suddenly started to feel the pressure after the shocking defeat at the hands of Aizawl FC on Monday. The British coach is not someone to wilt under any pressure, but the recent results are somehow creating some sort of discomfort.

“I am not under any pressure and why should I be?” said Morgan to the reporters after arriving from Aizawl today evening.

On being pressed by the journalists, the gaffer said, “I feel pressure is being created from outside on me and my team.”

Morgan did not choose to disclose any names as to who he feel is creating pressure on him. But he blatantly accepts that his team has lived up to the expectation in the last match.

“It was a very disappointing performance against Aizawl yesterday. We failed as a team and were outplayed in all departments by them (Aizawl FC). We did not play to our potential. It is just the first loss of the season. There is still a long way to go in the I League,” said Morgan.

East Bengal club secretary in a recent interview has attacked the British coach after the loss against Aizawl. Morgan is well aware of the incident, but he chose not to get into further controversy.

According to Morgan, “Everyone has a right to speak. I cannot make any comment on the matter.”

The Red and Gold footballers will get down to practice tomorrow, with an eye to prepare well for the crucial tie coming up against Bengaluru FC at Kanteerava Stadium on February 25. Willis Plaza and Rahul Bheke will be taken for a MRI scan tomorrow to assess the extent of  injury.  The team management will decide on their future only after getting the reports of the scan.
