Kolkata : Special Additional and Jt. Commissioner of Police (HQ), Shri Supratim Sarkar , Special Additional and Jt. Commissioner of Police, Shri Pallab Kanti Ghosh and Shri Murli Dhar, DC South have inspected the Eden Gardens today ahead of the World T20. They were accompanied by CAB President Sourav Ganguly, Joint Secretary Subir Ganguly and Treasurer Biswarup De.

The police officials have asked the CAB officials to set up the Hospitality Box at the D box likewise in the IPL. The CAB had previously asked for the entertainment zone to be placed in between the C and D Block but the Police did not allow it. They have asked the CAB to set it up in the D Block only. There is one more thing to rejoice for the Bengal cricket fans as the number of seats will remain the same during the World T20.

Police officials has also advised the CAB President to accommodate the Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan National teams in one single hotel so it will be easier for the security officials to provide them security. The players will always be accompanied by security guards whenever they will be attending the training sessions. A convoy will always follow their team bus.

Meanwhile, CAB was planning for a practice match between CAB XI and Pakistan as they will be arriving in the city early prior to the World T20. CAB has already requested BCCI to give them the permission for this match. But the Bengal players seemed unhappy by the decision of CAB as they feel that it’s quite unnatural. The Players feel that how can a team like Pakistan will gain practice by playing against a state team.
