Internet Desk: After two-year ban the BCCI officially welcomed Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. The fans and the officials of the Chennai based franchise are very much excited to see their side in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 11. After the announcement, former CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni posted a picture of him on instagram to celebrate CSK’s return. In the picture he wore a yellow jersey with the number ‘7’ and word ‘Thala’ was printed at the back of it. Thala is a Tamil word which means ‘leader’, ‘head’ or ‘boss’. After CSK’s removal for two years, Dhoni played for Rising Pune Supergiant, who lost their maiden final in IPL 2017 against Mumbai Indians in a thrilling encounter. Except CSK, the Supreme Court had also banned Rajasthan Royals after they found the teams guilty in spot-fixing row in 2013.

Dhoni became famous in Chennai after winning a lot of trophies for the franchise. So it was obvious that Dhoni would be happy to see CSK back in IPL.

Under Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai Super Kings bagged 2010 and 2011 IPL crowns and they also won the Champions League T20 title two times, in 2010 and 2014.

The BCCI also welcomed both the franchises back into the cash-rich League.

IPl Chairman Rajeev Shukla said: “It is my privilege to welcome back our franchisees, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, into the 11th edition of the IPL. We have had a strong working relationship with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals and hope that we can continue to build upon the close ties that we have enjoyed in the past, as we move towards the next edition of the league.”

After the return of the two time IPL Champions, the CSK fans went crazy and demanded on social media that Dhoni should return to his old franchise and the picture of Dhoni on instagram will be a huge boost for the fans too.
