Internet Desk: Another ‘Gold’en day for Micheal Phelps as he bagged his two more Gold Medal at Rio yesterday. It seems that when Phelps is in the pool nothing but Gold is secured for USA. Personally he claimed such a number of Gold that picked him ahead of 174countries.

Yesterday Phelps competed for 200-meter butterfly — his signature event. He bagged the Gold Medal for the third time in this event. It was his 20th Gold making the tally of total 25 Olympic Medals.

Phelps’s celebration after the 200 butterfly was loaded with meaning. This was the event in which Phelps endured one of the most painful defeats of his career: At the 2012 London Games, Chad le Clos of South Africa edged him by five-hundredths of a second.

“That’s a lot of medals,” he said. “It’s just insane. It’s mind-blowing. I wanted that one back. I came into the pool tonight with a mission and the mission was accomplished.”

Bu this time the story was different. From the moment he turned at 100m in the lead, the result never looked in doubt as Phelps touched the wall in a winning time of one minute 53.36 seconds. Phelps has long considered the 200 meters butterfly his sentimental favourite.

The 21st Gold came through 4*200m Freestyle Relay. Phelps turned in a terrific second leg of the Americans’ 4×100 freestyle relay, giving his teammates a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Fellow competitor Nathan Adrian held off the furious French to anchor the USA and clinch the Americans’ first gold medal in this event in a major international meet since 2009. USA completed the relay with 3 minutes, 9.92s.
