Internet Desk: In his fifth consecutive Olympic Michael Phelps won his first Gold Medal in the Freestyle relay for USA. This helped the USA flag bearer of this Olympic to win 19th Gold Medal. The Olympic team of USA named him as the ‘Most Decorated Olympian of all time’.

Phelps swam the second leg for the Americans, taking over from Caeleb Dressel in second place behind France and swimming into the lead. His split time was 47.12, which his coach Bob Bowman said was one of his all-time fastest.

By this split he again provided the spark to the Olympics to overtake France’s Fabien Gilot and set up victory in the 4x100m free.

“I was standing on the blocks while Caeleb (Dressel) was coming in and I honestly thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest”, said Phelps.

However, the finisher of the USA team was better than the king of water. Nathan Adrian had a split time of 46.97. Ryan Held and Nathan Adrian brought the USA their first swimming Gold.
