Kolkata: After signing Aizawal FC’s I-League winning defender Kingsley, Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan have signed Liberian midfielder Ansumana Kromah for the upcoming season. He played for Churchill Brothers last season and his joining will surely bolster the Green & Maroon Brigade in the forthcoming season.

He scored 6 goals in 13 matches for his side in last season’s I-League and most importantly he had also scored a goal against Mohun Bagan’s arch rival East Bengal at Barasat. In that match Churchill beat the Red and Gold Brigade by 2-1 and he played a vital role for his team’s win. Kromah had scored against current I-League champions Aizawl FC as well but unfortunately Churchill lost that match. Except Kromah, the Kolkata based outfit have roped in Aizawl FC’s I-League winning forward Kamo Stephane Bayi for next season. Kamo played a pivotal role in Aizawl’s I-League win as he scored 6 goals in lat I-League season and helped his team-mates to score 5 goals. On the other hand Mohun Bagan won’t get the service of Sanjoy Sen in the forthcoming Calcutta Football League (CFL). Like last year, Mohun Bagan assistant coach Shankarlal Chakraborty will be in charge of the team for CFL.

The Green and Maroon Brigade have also started their initial talks with Brendan Fernandez, Rowilson Rodriguez and Adil Khan.
