Kolkata: Mohun Bagan Coach Sanjoy Sen blames the unavailability of key players like Sony Norde and Ansumana Kromah for dropping crucial points against Shillong Lajong on Wednesday. The Bagan Coach seemed literally disappointed with the way his team had performed against The highlanders.

Abhishek Das replaced injured right back Arijit Bagui. Shilton D’Silva came in place of Yuta Kinowaki, who had dislocated his shoulder in the previous game. Dipendu Dowary was fielded in the left flank as a replacement of Norde and Naro Hari Shrestha started upfront alongside Dipanda Dicka.

Lajong boss Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet made just one change in the starting XI. Yemen’s Aiman Al-Hagri replaced Lalrohlua.

After the game, the Bagan gaffer said, “The absence of both Sony and Kromah became a factor. They are key players.”

The Bagan coach also stated his grief regarding the Red card decision by the referee which forced The Mariners to go down to ten men in the last 16 minutes. He said, “I don’t think that was a Red card offence. Nevertheless, it was the referee’s decision. So can’t help it.”

The gaffer also considered himself fortunate by saying, “It was almost a defeat for us. Fotunate that we have got a point.”
