Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting catches a “big fish” in transfer market as the black and white brigade signs Cameroonian Aser Pierrick Dipanda Dicka, the highest goal scorer of the recently concluded I-League 2017 from Shillong Lajong FC. No doubt, this has been the biggest signing of the transfer window so far in this season. Dipanda will make his debut for Mohammedan Sporting in the forthcoming Calcutta Football League.

Sources revealed www.xtratime.in that Mohammedan Sporting official Belal Khan and player Dipendu Biswas went to Shillong during the last game of the I-League. After the match got finished, they asked Lajong coach Thangboi Singto to allow them for a discussion with Dipanda. The offer and the proposal impressed Dipanda immensely. Thus he signed for Mohammedan.

The historic Kolkata outfit has been in with some serious mission this season as they have already finalized players like Denson Devdas (Chennai City FC), Prohlad Roy (East Bengal), Sangram Mukherjee (United Sports Club) and also in talks with Aizawl FC defender Kingsley, midfielder Alfred and Mohun Bagan’s I-League winning captain Shilton Paul along with the other top Indian players.

The Mohammedan Sporting side is determined to regain their lost pride this season and focusing on the second division I-League to book their berth for the 2019 I-League.
