Kolkata: East Bengal’s midfield general Mehtab Hossain to miss tie against United SC tomorrow at the Barasat Stadium. Mehtab sustained a hamstring strain in the last match against Army XI which forced to leave the field in the business end of the match.
East Bengal’s side back Rahul Bheke too uncertain for this match with a slight injury in his right leg and Babu Mondal may replace him. On Bheke’s injury, Trevor said, “I have a squad of 22 players and there is someone to replace Rahul.”
Trevor is much more relaxed with the fact that Subrata Bhattacharya will not be present on the opponent’s reserve bench as he has resigned from the coach’s post of United SC. But the East Bengal gaffer is worried about United SC as a side.
He said, “We will be p[laying against United SC, the team, not against any individual. I feel, they are good side and we will try out every thing to get the most important 3 points to stay at the top.”
Meanwhile, Trevor Morgan has strictly prohibited the media persons to ask anything on Kalyan Majumdar’s comments as this is a preview ahead of a vital match tomorrow against United SC.
East Bengal are placed second in the points table with 9 points from 3 matches while United SC are yet to open their account in this year’s CFL losing all the three matches so far they have played.
