Miraz, who is all set to play for the Tigers in the one-off test match at Rajiv Gandhi International stadium, is excited at the prospect of playing against the best bowler in the world. "I haven't met him. I do not know if I am allowed to speak to him as there are certain restrictions within the team. But definitely, I will meet him after the end of the match. It will be a learning experience for me watching him closely. He is the number one bowler in the world at the moment. I always tried and followed him on TV which line he is bowling at. Now I will get an opportunity to see him from close," said Miraz in Hyderabad. The spin sensation took 12 wickets at home to win his country the first ever test match against England and is now focused on doing well against India. According to Miraz, "I am confident about doing well against India. We played well against New Zealand but unfortunately ended up on the losing side. I hope to give my best against India; as well as this will be my first opportunity to play against them in India. The fact that we do not get a chance to play too often here will motivate us to do well. It will be good if I can put up a good show against the Number 1 test team. On being asked who is the Indian batsman he will be targeting at, he said, "They are all world class batsman. I will only focus on bowling well. I will not target any particular batsman. But definitely, will try and give breakthroughs. It will do my team a world of good. My aim will be to take top order wickets." Although he was part of the squad for the tour of New Zealand, he did not feature in the playing eleven as conditions were alien to spinners. He returned with a mixed bag in the practice match against India. "The warm-up match was a good practice for us. We could assess the condition that we are going to get for the test match. We have to be mentally tough to play against a team like India. Having played against New Zealand will be a lot difficult than facing India in their own backyard. We have to check the flow of runs." Lastly, on his personal plans, Miraz said, “Personally speaking, I will try and bowl to my strength. My strength is to keep the ball in the right areas. I do not always concentrate on taking wickets because at times the line can go wrong. I always focus on keeping consistency and bowling in the right areas.”
