XtraTime Web Desk: Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif on Sunday took to twitter to hit back at former England captain Naseer Hussain’s jibe at him during the 2002 Natwest Trophy final at Lords. The former England captain welcome Kaif at the crease by sledging him, “I think he must drive the bus; he drives Tendulkar around."

Kaif did not respond to Naseer that day as he and Yuvraj were on a mission to guide India to a historic run chase at Lords. India successfully chased 326 runs set by England with two wickets to spare.

Naseer was charged up after scoring his maiden ODI hundred. His animated celebrations after reaching the milestone give us enough proof. He pointed his 3 fingers towards the press box, signalling that he was good as England's number 3 in the 50-over format.

After 18 years since that comment from Naseer, Kaif chose to reply him back. He tweeted,"thanks to that innings the bus driver drives a convertible now".

The former England captain in a podcast for SkySports admitted quite boastfully of sledging Kaif and calling him a driver.

Hussain did not take the matter further as he replied Kaif by tweeting, "Haha .. it was some game mate !! With great memories.. for you anyway. Hope you are well and staying safe bud !"

The former in his podcast also showered praise on the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, the way he transformed the team into a world beater.

"Ganguly changed Indian cricket. Before Ganguly, India were a very humble, polite team. He made them a very feisty side," said Naseer in the podcast.

India was looking down the barrels after losing 5 wickets for 146 runs. But Kaif and Yuvraj seemed to be men on a mission as they stitched together a partnership of 121 runs before Yuvraj got out in the 42nd over. Kaif remained unbeaten on 87 runs to guide India home.
