Manoj Tiwary and his boys get valuable tips from Sourav ahead of Vijay Hazare Trophy

Bengal cricketers will leave for Chennai tomorrow to take part in the tournament

Kolkata: The Bengal cricketers got a much needed boost ahead of the forthcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly spent an hour with Manoj Tiwary and his team at the Videocon Academy ground during the practice session in the morning. The CAB President interacted with the Bengal cricketers and motivated them.

Ganguly was seen fine tuning the technical flaws in the batsmen and bowlers. He was seen standing behind the wickets and analyzing the flaws when the batsmen were batting on the main wicket. The former India cricketer had a small chat in the middle with Captain Manoj Tiwary and Anustup Majumder, when they were batting. He also gave important tips to youngsters likeAbhimanyu Easwaran, Abhishek Raman and Sudip Chatterjee.

The left hander along with Sachin Tendulkar shared one of the best opening partnerships in One Day internationals. He showed the young Bengal cricketers how to attack the bowlers in death overs.

Sourav also spent some time with Bengal’s senior bowlers like Ashoke Dinda and Pragyan Ojha. He later congratulated both Sayan Ghosh and Manoj Tiwary for getting a team in the upcoming IPL season.

Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary acknowledged Dada (Sourav) for taking his time out of the busy schedule and spending some quality time with the players.

“It was a wonderful to see Dadi(Sourav Ganguly) coming and motivating the boys for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. He shared a few tips to the youngsters, which will help them to do well in the upcoming matches”, Manoj said.

The Bengal captain is in tremendous form, leading East Zone to win the Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Trophy. Manoj added that the primary objective of the team will be to do well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy matches” The preparations have been good as most of us were part of the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy. We will try and put up a good show together.”

Anustup Majumder will make a comeback for Bengal after 4 long years in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. Anustup is very excited to share some time with Ganguly. “We had won the Vijay Hazare Trophy under Dadi’s leadership in 2012-13 seasons. His tips helped me do well in that tournament. So, hopefully his tips will again help me to do well in the Vijay Hazare trophy matches,” said Anustup.

Manoj Tiwary led Bengal cricket team will leave Kolkata tomorrow to take part in the forthcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy matches at Chennai. Bengal is placed in Group C along with Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Team Rajasthan, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
