Internet Desk: Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo emerged as the winner of Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday. The Australian driver got the better of his team mate Max Verstappen in an epic battle during the final stages of the race. Nico Riseberg finished third, despite collecting a 10-second time penalty after colliding with Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen. Roseberg now leads by 23 points over Lewis Hamilton in the overall standings.

Lewis Hamilton, who started on the pole position was sensationally forced to retire after his engine caught fire with 16 laps to go.

It was a good race for Sahara Force India as both Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg finished at 6th and 8th position respectively. The team gained 124 points and are currently places 4th in the Championship.
