XtraTime Web Desk:
Lionel Messi continues to destroy records, as the Argentine genius reached another milestone in the La Liga and the latest one is indeed a dream landmark for any player in the world.

Messi has now scored over 40 goals in 10 consecutive calendar years after he bagged Barcelona’s equaliser during their 1-1 draw with Valencia on Sunday.

The Argentinian has scored 41 goals so far in 2018, his 10th consecutive year of scoring more than 40 goals for club and country.

He scored his sixth goal in La Liga this season over the weekend as he saved Barcelona from defeat once more.

Messi also grabbed a brace against Tottenham last week, during Barcelona’s 4-2 win in the Champions League at Wembley as he put in a masterclass performance.

He continues to prove himself as one of the best to have played the game, year after year.

The 31-year-old has 41 goals this year, but still has the majority of October, as well as November and December to add to that.
