Korea Open SS: Sindhu gets a golden opportunity to settle scores with Okuhara

Internet Desk: India’s star shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu gets a great opportunity to take the revenge of her World Championships final loss after she defeated China’s He Bingjiao 21-10,17-21,21-16 in the semifinal of the women’s singles at the Korea Open Super Series today. She will face Nozomi Okuhara in the summit clash on Sunday against whom she lost the final in World Championships.

Sindhu took an early 8-1 lead in the game and at the break the score was 11-7.After the break Sindhu continued to play with an attacking intent to seal the first game 21-10 in just 16 minutes.

Sindhu carried her red hot form in the second game too and take an important lead of 11-6 at the mid break. When everybody started thinking that Sindhu would win the match with an ease, Bingjiao stunned everyone by winning the game 21-17 and took the match into the third and the deciding game.

It was a dream battle in the final round as both the players looked determined to win the match.  Just like the first two games Sindhu took an early lead in the decider but managed to take crucial two points lead in the decider at the final break. After the break the star Indian shuttler held her nerves to seal the match with a win by 21-10, 17-21, 21-16.
