It is strange to believe that Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood Playback singer Arijit Singh has never met with each other until Sunday.
Kohli, a huge fan of Arijit could not resist sharing his fan-boy moment with Arjit Singh on his twitter handle. He tweeted, “”Pure fanboy moment for me. What an amazing person he is. No one has captivated me with their voice like this man. God bless you Arijit,”
The opportunity did come by chance for Virat to meet his favourite singer on Sunday. The Indian captain along with other sportsmen were supposed to took part in a charity football game against a team of film celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Dino Morea and Shoojit Sircar. The result as expected was a 7-2 drubbing by Virat and his team over the Bollywood stars. The match took place at Andheri Sports Complex which happens to be a stone throw away distance from where Arijit stays. Virat did not waste a single moment after getting to know that his favourite singer stays near the venue of the Celebrity Classico Match.
As the idea to meet Arijit striked Virat’s mind, he was soon knocking the door of Arijit immediately after the match. And what happened for the next one and half hour was pure fan-moment as they both shared mutual respect for each other. Virat, we all know is a huge fan of Arijit. Arijit’s family is also a huge follower of Virat’s cricket.
Arjit’s son, who plays football, is also a diehard fan of Virat. The Indian captain spent almost an hour and half at Arijit’s residence. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see both the youth icons coming together soon. xc
