Debasis Sen, Cape Town: There can never be a dull moment in the life of Virat Kohli. The Indian captain on Sunday surprised everyone here on the streets at Water Front by choosing to do a few dance steps with teammate Shikhar Dhawan. They were both seen shaking their legs to the tune of Punjabi chartbuster ‘Jithen Jaan Punjabi Bhangra Paa Hi Linde Ne’. Both of them were accompanied along with other team members to Waterfront to celebrate on New Year’s Eve.
Kohli and Dhawan couldn’t hold themselves back as they showed off their dance skills on the streets of Cape Town. In a video uploaded on Instagram, the duo was seen dancing to the tunes of a band, while roaming in the city with their families. Dhawan’s son is also visible in the video.
Dhawan looked in high spirits as he is recovering well in time for the first test match which begins at Newlands Cricket Stadium from January 05. The left hander after missing yesterday’s training session, batted for a long time at the nets. He was seen working with Indian team physio Patrik Farhat. Suppose he is not declared fully fit then KL Rahul and Murali Vijay will open the batting for India.
Earlier, the Indian cricket team were forced to shift their practice indoors due to rain at the Western Province Cricket Club in Cape Town on Sunday. The team is given a complete break from practice tomorrow in order to keep themselves recharged.
