Jhulan Goswami reveals how Indian women cricketers are being influenced by Virat Kohli

A fitness fanatic, Kohli maintains a strict fitness regime to keep him supremely fit and he has been successful in instilling his philosophy to his teammates as well. The Indian captain will be glad to hear that his philosophy on fitness is now being followed by the Indian women cricketers. Former India women’s captain Jhulan Goswami heaped lavish praises on Kohli’s philosophy to fitness and how that has transpired to the women cricketers.

Interacting to a gathering in the capital, Goswami said, “We follow strict diet. We go to the gym on a regular basis. Cricket has changed, it’s become a powerful game. You need to have strength. You need to maintain good diet.”

“You have to contribute in every department of the game today,” Jhulan added.

Jhulan, the highest wicket taker in women’s ODI cricket was effusive in her praise for Virat Kohli, describing him as the best cricketer in the world.

“Virat is a phenomenal cricketer. He is the best cricketer in the world. The way he is playing and leading from the front is fantastic He should continue his brand of cricket,” she added when asked about any piece of advice for him.
