Kolkata ,December 08 : Chennaiyin FC won’t get the backing of their loyal fans at the Marina Arena for the first leg of their semi final clash against Atletico de Kolkata . The semi final venue of the first leg tie between Atletico de Kolkata and Chennaiyin FC have been shifted due to the flood situation in Chennai . It means Marco Materazzi and his team will remain in Pune to play the first leg of their semi-final against the defending champions .
The Indian Super League (ISL) first leg semi-final will now take place at Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Balewadi, Pune on Saturday, December 12.
The decision to shift the semi final venue was taken by IMG-Reliance & Star India along with the Chennaiyin FC management. Marco Materazzi’s side will however save themselves a trip back home as they remain in Pune where they defeated FC Pune City 1-0 on Saturday to progress to the semi-finals.
