Internet desk: Henrique Sereno Fonseca, the new superstar has arrived in India to rock the Hero Indian Super League season three for the first champions Atletico de Kolkata to replace the Spanish centre back Pablo Gallardo who suffered an injury in the preseason game ATK played against Dipendu Biswas XI.
The Portuguese centre back has an eye-catching CV as the Portuguese defender also represented his national team with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Nani. The supremely talented defender played alongside Pepe in the debut match for his national team as he replaced Bruno Alves in the second half in a FIFA International friendly against Croatia to help his side to clinch a 1-0 victory.
It is learnt that the star defender got the recommendation from the marquee Helder Postiga himself as the forward knows the reputation of the centre back back in his country.
The 31-year-old defender also represented prestigious clubs like FC Porto in Portugal, La Liga club Valladolid and Bundesliga clubs like Mainz and FC Koln. The inclusion of the defender will certainly add value to the side, especially with the way the Kolkata franchise conceded two soft goals in the opening game.
The defender will most likely be available for selection in the game Atletico de Kolkata will be playing in Mumbai City FC on 11th October.
