Kolkata:

The best foreign goalkeeper in the history of Hero Indian Super League Apoula Edima Edel Bete is likely to return to his former franchise in the forthcoming season. The giant goalkeeper who played for FC Pune City in the previous season, is in advanced talks with Hero ISL season two champions Chennaiyin FC.

Sources told www.xtratime.in that Edel himself is keen to go back to the Chennai based franchise, for whom he won his second ISL title back in the year 2015. He also won the Golden Gloves award that season

Edel Bete had previously an unbelievable couple of seasons in the Indian Super League. The two teams he played for, Atletico De Kolkata and Chennaiyin FC in the 2014 and 2015 seasons respectively were crowned champions at the end of the campaign. Maybe he is just a good luck charm.

Bete has once been a member of French giants Paris Saint-Germain. The 30-year old born and raised in Cameroon, has dual nationality, but represented Armenia at U-19, U-23 and senior level. He also represented Israeli champions Hapoel Tel Aviv from 2011-2013.
